Money is used every day by almost everyone in the world. We use money to buy the resources we need to live, but to students, it's just pieces of paper and small round objects. These materials, such as dry-erase markers and packets, crayons, mixed coins, and mixed bills allow students multiple ways to interact with money as they learn critical thinking skills and financial literacy. To work with money, students need to see patterns. They need to be able to work with money manipulatives in multiple ways. Students will use the dry erase packets to match currency with its value. They will use the crayons to shade the coins and draw their own examples of currency. The will learn monetary value through interactive games and instruction made possible by these materials. The Teacher Pay Teacher gift code will help supply my students with more resources for the financial literacy unit.
