With the removal of carpets from my classroom, there comes the challenge of providing comfortable seating for floor time. The foam mats would provide my second graders an opportunity to work on the floor. We could also use them outside in the space available (asphalt playground) while keeping social distancing a priority. By providing my students with the colorful mats spaced appropriately, they will still have the opportunity to learn and play together. They will be much more comfortable sitting on these mats as opposed sitting on the cement tiled floor in our classroom and the pavement outside.
