My students have been distance learning since March 2020. I have been creative in how I deliver each lesson, but a document camera would make it easier to teach math and writing. Students will essentially have a "whiteboard" to view so as to understand each lesson presented and I will be able to write, erase, and create each lesson. For example, teaching a lesson on summarizing informational text is challenging via zoom video but a document camera would an extremely useful tool by having a board where my students can see and learn the details about this type of text. My students will definitely benefit from this tool and their enthusiasm will shine through as they work at optimum level.
