Read aloud time is the time my students and I look forward to every day after lunch. During this time, I read books that are exciting and keep them interested and also teach them life skills such as financial literacy and social emotional skills. They are always so eager to figure out what story we will read next. By adding this collection of books to our read aloud time, my students will have the opportunity to listen to new stories as well as build comprehension and vocabulary. Once I finish reading the book, I put them in our classroom library so students can read them to themselves, I hope that by doing read-alouds, my students discover the love of reading and become lifelong readers.
