Special needs students need to learn the value of their health. Giving them options to help them maintain their health with physical activity is a great way to do that. We have some equipment for our adaptive PE but some of it is outdated or worn. The materials that we are requesting are good examples of how some students like the feel of a weighted medicine ball, some like to bounce a tennis ball and work on reaction or throwing skills. Movement is important and we want to teach them skills they can take with them after they leave school.
