My motto in Kindergarten over the past several years has been... "we share everything!" I set the classroom up so that the kids could interact with each other and the learning in the room, but this year needs to look a bit different. In order to limit the spread of germs, our school has asked us to give each student his/her own set of supplies. The students aren't permitted to share the materials in the classroom on a daily basis. To help organize each student's learning materials, I am asking for these bins to place books, writing supplies, and other classroom materials weekly. In addition, the document camera will also help me teach my kindergarteners in the classroom or at home. In the classroom, I can model my work at a distance, and all the students will be able to easily see when I project the image on the smartboard. If our district needs to go virtually, this tool will be super important for the students to learn from a distance. In kindergarten, there are so many skills that need to be modeled visually.
