The students in my special education room are struggling readers. It is a struggle to find books that are age-appropriate and still able to be read for these students. The audio CD's and books I have chosen follow along with the 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade general education curriculum and allows my students with learning disabilities to be able to follow the general education curriculum and enjoy the rich literature being studied by the peers in their grade. Audiobooks are an amazing bridge for struggling readers. These audio CDs and books will be part of our special education classroom and will be treasured by my students and I for many years to come.
