New books would give my students books with characters they can relate to when they come to the school library. The library is a place my students love to come and explore and find just the right book to read. With these new books, my students will have the opportunity to choose books that represent characters that look like themselves. They will be able to see themselves in the characters in which they are reading about. My students already have an amazing interest in reading and this project will only help to enrich their experiences through written word and characters of color.

About my class
