Imagine your child sitting at her assigned computer, six feet away from each other child around her. Suddenly she notices a child in the next row who looks as though he's about to burst into tears. Your child dives for the floor just as the other student unleashes a barrage of nasal particles into the air headed straight for your daughter! As she crouches on the floor, she imagines she can feel the particles settling onto her back and hair. Too bad this class didn't have the money or foresight to put sneeze guards in place between the desks! While desk shields can't guarantee germs won't be spread from child-to-child, they will go a long way toward helping reduce the chances of that happening, especially when combined with the wearing of masks, using hand sanitizer, and plenty of strategically-placed tissue boxes in the classroom. Plexiglass or acrylic shields will help provide a sense of security for the students, enabling them to concentrate more fully on their lessons and not having to overly worry about someone sneezing through their mask nearby. Won't you please consider contributing to this great need?
