Because of COVID-19, we are not allowed to share materials without disinfecting and isolating those materials. My hope is to give my students engaging texts to each student to use at home and in the classroom with me. These reading resources are the perfect tool to help encourage and excite children to read because they are current topics they enjoy. Trying to excite and engage students in reading can be difficulty, especially if they are trying to do it from home. This magazine subscription will allow my students to each have their own copy or multiple texts that are on their reading levels. They can also enjoy activities that will help their comprehension skills. This resource is wonderful because my students will have access to current events, global news articles, debates, even fictional stories, and SO MUCH MORE! What makes this resource even better for my students is that it comes with a digital version for students. This allows for a "read to text" feature for those students who may be struggling to read the text independently. This is especially helpful if they are reading these magazines and articles at home. If I can't be there to help like I could in the classroom, they still have support!
