My students need sensory resources to maintain their progress and manage their anxiety and stress during this unexpected pandemic. I would love to be able to offer my students a large variety of tools in our classroom to help them maintain self-control, manage emotions, and ignite the creative centers in their brains. Research based evidence shows that these sensory items will help my students through moments that are hard for them. We will learn independence in choosing an item that provides the most comfort to them so that they can regulate. The coolest thing is, these items correspond to curriculum that we will be teaching throughout the year which will allow learning to happen as they regulate.
