Living in Minnesota, the weather can be warm and dry one day and cold and wet another. We will be outside everyday, year round. We will be exploring the forest, a river, and a pond regularly. Studies show that there are many benefits to outdoor learning. It can reduce stress, improve focus, improve motor skills, engage in more creative play. We hope that by bringing in the outdoors the children will have fewer conflicts, improved mental/physical health, and less educational needs. Your generous donation of rain pants will keep the students clothes clean and dry. Not only on rainy days but also during pond/river explorations. If we can provide these rain/mud pants for the low income families we serve it will ease the burden of needing extra clothing to attend school. As well as keep them comfortable and safe while exploring.
