During the current pandemic, teaching students remotely has been a struggle to say the least! During the last school year, I taught Algebra 2 and Trigonometry classes using ZOOM and used an old iPad to stream/record lessons with, all while writing with my finger as a stylus. I purchased many Stylus pens online, and none worked great with my old iPad (2nd generation), so I resorted to writing with my finger. My finger was “workable,” but at times my writing wouldn’t appear on the screen and it would ruin the flow of LIVE lessons to the students. While researching newer iPads and stylus options, I learned that Apples newest iPads support an Apple Pencil (pen made to write on an iPad). With the new year fast approaching, and remote learning being a real possibility and likely the new norm, please let me start the year with the newest iPad and Apple Pencil to help me teach my Algebra 2 students seamlessly whether it be in person or remotely LIVE using the newest Apple device to stream and record my lessons properly!
