Our students need access to high quality leveled texts that provide rich vocabulary and are presented in various formats. Due to the unique circumstances of education at the moment, we want to provide them with a flexible resource that they can continue to use whether we are teaching in person, they chose to be a remote learner, or we all have to go remote at some point. Scholastic News and Storyworks provides vocabulary rich text presented in formats that most students are not naturally drawn to including Non-Fiction, Information, and Play. From small seeds, grow big trees! This motto encompasses our learners and community. We are a small, rural school with students who do not often get to experience as much of the wide world, but that doesn't stop them! With this resource they will be able to feel more connected to the world around them through the rich stories and news. These stories can inspire them to expand their roots. Thank you!
