Hi y'all, this is my first year teaching, and I need some help! I need instructional aids (i.e., a teaching easel that I will use for whole and small group instruction), more classroom resources (e.g., anchor charts, English Language Arts, Grammar, & Writing, posters), and hands-on manipulatives (i.e., to build solid math concepts)! Learning math can be confusing and frustrating! However, breaking the problem down and manipulating the concept by using objects (i.e., manipulatives) creates a deeper understanding of the concept. My students would enjoy and benefit from the hands-on learning experience! My classroom library is PITIFUL and is lacking BOOKS! With the current COVID-19 situation our classroom library will be used more (i.e., students will be restricted more this year)! My classroom library doesn't have a good selection of genres or reading levels.
