These virtual music learning kits would help provide students with more opportunities to physically interact with music and help them create music through a variety of experiences. Our goal with these kits is to help get students to be active participants in music by providing them with interactive musical tools to help them do this. The scarves, for example, would be used to respond to the music with their bodies and work on creative movement. With the folders, we plan to create music learning journals to help them draw, write, and create their own music. We would also include some music for them to use this school year to help them in learning to read and perform music. The expo markers would be used to write on a laminated musical staff and also to write other musical symbols on a laminated music paper. The instruments would help students be more active music makers and work on rhythm. Everything in the virtual learning kits would be utilized for both virtual and in person learning experiences.
