There are endless journeys students could take with a class iPad. I do a Science/Social Studies unit with my fourth graders in which they learn some basics about how the brain learns. Then students delve into peoples lives that have overcome obstacles to reach a goal such as Harriet Tubman, George Washington Carver and the Wright brothers. Students that are remote learners or in the building learners could record themselves in a wax museum format. These could be compiled into a movie for parents and family to view. Students learn the regions of the United States. We could take virtual tours of state landmarks, national and state parks and other sites by projecting the tours from an iPad to the smart board.
