I am my students' music teacher this year. They did not have a music teacher at all last year, and have missed out on so many good musical opportunities. Even still, these students have a passion and excitement for music. They want to learn and grow. Their learning is currently limited, as the only musical instruments we have in the classroom are recorders, and playing those will be limited because of COVID and because of the fact that they are wind instruments. It is my hope that the students will be able to have classroom ukuleles and piano keyboards to play in class that will be disinfected after each use to prevent the spread of germs and disease. This specific project is for ukuleles, and I have one posted for piano keyboards as well. These students have already had a chance to play ukulele after I brought my own, but that is not sustainable for entire classes and grades to learn ukulele or piano. Please help these students so that they are able to get the best musical education possible and so that they are able to grow not only as musicians, but as people!
