I would love to get a class set of the book "Wonder". I would like to use this novel to use to teach standards in reading. This book hits on so many of our state standards. With this book I would be able to teach my students about the theme, quoting texts, summarizing, comparing and contrast, analyzing points of view, and reading grade-level complex text. I would love to have a class set so students can read along and be able to reference the book while working on projects and assignments. This book also has so many great themes within it that would be beneficial to students in 5th grade. The themes include: believe in yourself, you're stronger than you think, the family is important, and don't judge a book by its cover. These are great themes to teach students in general but also before they go into middle school.
