These materials will provide hands-on learning at home and in the classroom when we return. The white boards are magnetic so that students can write as well as build words. During virtual whole group lessons the students can write letters and sentences with me, and in small group lessons the students can practice making and writing words as they listen to the letter sounds. The white boards will help to develop my students' writing skills. The tens frames will help students identify quantities and add on or subtract for hand-on problem solving. These tools will help to develop the students' number sense. I know the students will enjoy and appreciate having a personal set of learning tools. The quantity of the materials will ensure that all of the students in the class have individual materials. Hands-on learning is a necessary and enjoyable part of educating young students and the materials will add to this unique school year's experience.
