Students will each be allowed their own copy of the novel to use at home or at school in order to connect Gatsby's Roaring 20's to the world today. Allowing students their own copy of The Double Bind enables students to read at their own paces and re-read as needed in order to facilitate greater understanding of the material. This text is challenging and engaging while forcing students to think about our perception of reality and deal with mental health awareness and homelessness in our society today. Students will be able to form their own opinions about these issues and have valuable discussions that will help them grow as young adults.

About my class
