Having a class set of ukelele instruments will make all the difference for my students. Using these instruments as a teaching tool will help them to grasp musical concepts, otherwise difficult to understand without the playing of an instrument. In addition to ukeleles being an excellent teaching tool musically, there are also non-musical assets to acquiring these instruments. Learning something new, especially an instrument, can be a rewarding experience; students will learn to overcome frustration and learn persistence in the learning process. Learning persistence and determination along with musicality and music literacy will be the focus of playing the ukelele; furthermore, the experience will be one to carry on into other areas of the students' lives.
