These materials will help build literacy and lifelong learning in my second graders in the classroom and at home. COVID-19 will not deter the goal of building readers who love reading. Scholastic News will bring current world topics to my students, at their reading level. These can be used in the classroom as well as at home during remote learning or after class. These magazines not only build litearcy skills but enable discussion at home with family. The chapter books and picture books are thoughtfully selected to engage, excite, teach, and empower my students.
