I teach resource reading and English class. My classroom serves a variety of special education students. Some of my students have specific learning disabilities in reading comprehension, reading fluency and basic reading skills. Therefore, I read aloud to my students whenever possible. My special education students are very diverse learners. Some of these students have difficulty focusing because they have ADHD. Being able to use this type of seating will allow them to move, or wobble, while continuing to listen and engage in the lesson.
