By donating to this project, my students will get to experience a life lesson that they wouldn't get at home. We will design our project utilizing math skills like area and perimeter to create a scale model of the garden we will be building. We will also research the different varieties of plants and vegetables that grow best in our area. They will learn basic gardening skills and the value of hard work when they experience the ownership and pride of a community project. The whole school will benefit from this project. After harvesting what is grown, I plan to have a "feast" with my students.
