In the wake of the pandemic, science education has had to change. Group work, labs, and hands-on activities are no longer possible due to social distancing guidelines so the next best thing is to use technology as a substitute until the classroom to return back to normal. My classroom is need of four Chromebooks in order for all of my students to have their own Chromebook to use every day. Our district currently has a shortage of Chromebooks in the building and these four additional devices will ensure that more students will have access to their own Chromebook while they are in my classroom. Using these Chromebooks will enable my students to experience online simulations and other learning activities so they can learn in the absence of normal science classroom activities. In the event of school closure, these Chromebooks will be checked out by students so they have reliable devices to continue their learning virtually.
