Our classroom family is full of a variety of learners from all over the world. Children need to feel they are safe, valued, cared for, and loved. They need to feel that they belong. These books will help create positive learning experiences and help build a strong classroom community whether at home or in school. Children need books that are both windows and mirrors. They need books in which they can see themselves reflected and books that help them learn about the perspectives of others. These books will foster conversations about the diversity in our world and the importance of equality for all. A gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers will provide me with additional resources to support students' learning needs. Sit Spots and colorful tape will help to keep students socially distanced as we move forward with a hybrid learning model. My goals are to ensure safety, promote equality, and develop the social-emotional well-being of each child in my classroom. Thank you for helping me with this mission in my classroom!
