I teach at an early childhood center within my city's school district. The children are 4-5 years old. At any given time, there can be close to 500 children in our school. Each class has 18 children with a teacher and a teacher's assistant. My school nurtures the child's first experiences with education. These children come from different economic, social and cultural backgrounds. They come to our school before they go to kindergarten. It is our job to prepare the children for kindergarten and we want the educational experiences they have at our school to be memorable and positive. The children are inquisitive, excited and ready to learn!
