Safety first is the name of the game this year! To continue making learning as exciting and meaningful as possible, I am making some important changes to our classroom arrangement, routine, and lessons! While in school, whether that's a hybrid or full class model, we will be wearing masks and taking other safety precautions. Students will no longer be sharing materials, so keeping their supplies separate from each other is essential. Book bins to the rescue! No matter what learning zone we're in, materials can easily move from desk to cubby to home as needed. Some students in my class will come to school well equipped with masks. Sadly some will not, since my community is very economically diverse. I want to have disposable masks on hand for students who need one. Nobody should feel left out or less safe in my classroom community. At school, exciting learning will go on but it may look a little bit different. I still want my students handling fraction bars, test tubes, markers, and clay. With disposable gloves on, they will still be able to touch these shared items safely. Thank you for helping my classroom!
