The students receiving sketchbooks are part of the lifelong connection to art that they get to experience in the classroom. While at the same time gaining empathy, compassion, creativity, and the universal connections, they get to learn about themselves. One of my favorite things to experience is when they receive their sketchbooks, the joy on their faces, the happiness in their eyes, well that is priceless. Some students even take their sketchbooks home to draw to improve their skill, for fun, and to relax themselves when the stress factor becomes high.

About my class
