These face shields and workspace shields will support 20 teachers and staff members in a middle school, working with special education students. Many of our students need 1:1 attention to help support their social-emotional needs, social skills interaction, self-esteem building, and academics. In the age of COVID-19, we are unable to be close to them to provide them with this support. These supplies will be used for teachers, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, school adjustment counselors, autism specialists, and myself, evaluation team leader, who need to work with students closer than three to six feet. We need to support our students as much as we can during this time and make them feel as comfortable as possible so they can trust us to support them.

About my class
