The majority of our students come from very low income single parent homes. We are located in an area with a large population of Hispanic children with very little at home and very little opportunity to get involved in activities outside of school. 90% of the school enrollment is on free or reduced lunch. Many of the kids that join our wrestling team do not have the money to buy to purchase their own pair of required wrestling shoes or headgear to participate in the sport, so we provide shoes and headgear for the students on a loaner program.
