21 out of 25 of our district's schools are Title I schools, which means a high percentage of our district's students come from low-income families. While we continue to work for all of our students to have internet access, a laptop, and equity in learning, please help us level the playing field for our incoming 6th graders. Among other functions, by providing a stylus to each 6th grader, you are giving each student better access to our OneNote math lessons, where they will be able to write out their math process and reasoning directly on the screen. By providing a mouse to each student, you are giving each student a more ergonomic and comforting experience than they would have relying on the touch pad to navigate everyday in our online learning platforms. Last, by providing headphones to each student, you are helping each student focus more on the learning as they will hear less background noise and will not be distracted by other siblings working in the online classroom. Thank you for helping us provide better access to virtual learning for our incoming 6th grade students.
