With the challenges of this upcoming year, students will not be able to group together with learning games as they have in the past. Also, storing student items safely will also be challenging. Children need hands-on fun throughout their day. These games will give more opportunities for students to get out of their seats and participate in fun, hands on learning in smaller groups. With these games, students will be able to practice the reading skills taught throughout the year. Some of these skills will include identifying letters and their sounds, building and reading cvc words, and recognize and recall numbers. Chair pockets will allow students to keep their learning supplies with them at their seat and eliminate unnecessary movement around the room. These donations will give my students a safer learning environment by allowing them to continue a more normal routine without sharing items.
