Unfortunately, there is research showing that bias starts as early as preschool. My goal is to have an unbias classroom that is welcoming to all races and cultures. I want to be able to expose children to different cultures and races through play and books. I also want to instill in all children, especially young girls that they can be whatever they want to be and they are in charge of their future. All the books chosen are either based on different races, cultures, girls' feeling empowered, or social-emotional growth. I have also included STEM activities that are fun, engaging, and hands-on learning for the classroom. This will also expose all the children (especially the girls) to early STEM skills.
