With these monthly individual reader subscriptions, my 4th-grade students will put physical material in hands at home that is both engaging and informing. These readers aide in building excellent background knowledge through stories, poetry, current events, nonfiction articles, and numerous other genres. These magazines are ones that students are able to keep for themselves, giving them the opportunity to look back on their favorite stories. By having these physical copies, students will be able to “take a break” from the computer and pull their eyes away from the screen. These magazines are ones that students are able to keep for themselves, giving them the opportunity to look back on their favorite stories.
