These supplies will have so many uses during distance learning! One of the most important aspects of Kindergarten is using hands-on techniques to really comprehend the skills we need them to learn. This project will help the students get that hands-on experience they need in order to really master all of the formative academic skills they need in order to start their school careers in the right direction. Math manipulatives like the unifix cubes and counters are amazing to give students a visual cue for math skills like greater than and less than, counting, and even working on addition and subtraction skills. We use the dice for playing games and practicing addition and subtraction skills as well. The white boards and markers will be essential in helping the students learn how to write numbers and letters, write their names, and even draw pictures and shapes! We use white boards daily in the classroom. They are amazing paper savers and make it so simple to have the students show me what they're doing while using them. While we're in distance learning, I won't have the opportunity to walk around the students in the classroom to look around at their work. Instead, by using white boards, students will be able to complete some work and show me by holding the white boards up to the camera.
