Theatre is one of the best art forms because we combine all art forms into one! In theatre, we use lights, sound, costume, sets, and so much more! We must be able to use our bodies to their full extent, so I want to supply my students with their own personal yoga mat that they can leave in my classroom. The textbooks will also help us stay on track during this crazy time of hybrid learning. Most of my students come from low income homes and do not have the resources to explore all of their artistic sides. I want to afford them that opportunity through exploring all avenues of theatre. I also know that my students' mental health is more important than anything right now during this time. I want to make sure they learn how to use theatre to sync the body, mind, and spirit up. The masks will allow my students to participate in exercises where we let our egos go and release some of the walls we may have put up to protect ourselves. Art is imperative to a child's growth and theatre is the perfect avenue for children to express themselves in more ways than one. I am looking for art supplies for my classroom so that my students can paint and design their own ideas for productions.
