Flexible seating provides students with an opportunity to physically take charge of their learning and make learning choices that work best for them. During independent work times, students are invited to choose to complete their work in various locations within the classroom using clipboards as they can sit or lay and work in an area that best suites their comfortability needs. This option creates a relaxed and positive learning atmosphere where students feel more at ease and willing to learn. Students almost always choose a flexible seating work space that works most appropriately for their needs and actually stay more focused and engaged while completing their work. They also LOVE the idea of different seating options and providing learning choices for them is an easy, fun and encouraging way to get them more involved! These particular chairs would be beneficial at my small group table by providing another seating option that will not only be exciting, but engaging and comfortable too!
