I began reading stories in the Art room early on this school year which became inspiration for their artwork. Collaboratively, books and art are perfect for school spirit weeks, monthly themes, celebrations and lessons year round. For instance, Llama Llama, Red Pajama was perfect for our School Spirit Pajama Day. Oh, who could turn down a steady run of Dr. Seuss books for a series of illustrations in February to display in March. I have continued these lessons remotely attaching videos of strangers reading the books aloud. However, I look forward to sharing these books aloud with my students virtually and/or in person. I am eagerly anticipating lessons, conversations and artwork.
