I will record myself reading these stories so students can watch them at home. Many of my students' parents are illiterate in English and some are illiterate in their home language, as well. This will provide them with the opportunity to hear at least one story a day for fun. Research has shown that reading out loud helps with literacy skills for students of all ages. Here is a link to a Washington Post article that explains why it is so important for children to have stories read to them out loud.
