High ability learners often have additional challenges. While these students are our future leaders and do an excellent job of problem solving and creatively working, they often struggle with Autism spectrum challenges, sensory issues and/or anxiety. Please help me construct an environment that is conducive to these learners. Classroom chairs often rock, are hard and uncomfortable and can cause distractions and an inability to focus in students that have any sensory issues. The exercise balls with bases make sitting and focusing on a project much easier and way more comfortable. They create a more comfortable environment so students can focus on learning and not be distracted by unmet sensory needs.
