My class is full of pre-kinder busy bees. They are eager to learn, see and do. I enjoy reading to my class because they can not wait to tell me about the story or what they think could happen. My scholars participate in the observation and the investigation of the life cycle of plants and will continue throughout the year, observing the class garden plots. We will also follow a similar path with frogs, the incubation of baby chicks and the butterfly life cycle. We read numerous books weekly or by-weekly of our thematic unit(example- Growing Things)and I enhance their learning by adding science to our daily routines. Each student has participated in preparing several plots for our gardens and are very excited to see what happens as they water, weed, protect and take care of the site. We are also excited about getting fish and an aquarium. The students attend an inner city school which promotes and Eco friendly academic community and maintains high standards for all children.
