About my class

The canopy and sensory materials will give preschool students with special needs a space to calm down from heightened emotions and hard days. Many of my students have behavioral struggles and I am always wishing I could give them a space to cool off and cope with their emotions. It’s important for my students to learn how to do this in their own classroom where they can have my support as they work through feelings. Providing a safe space to regulate their emotions will give them the tools they need to learn and explore successfully in the classroom. Social emotional learning has become one of the most important domains for this generation of students. I truly believe my students would benefit emotionally and gain a greater chance at success for their futures by having access to these materials.
