I'm a first year teacher in a new classroom that really only had furniture and textbooks. I am so excited to be starting my teaching journey. Although COVID is limiting my ideal classroom setup and instructional methods, I want to do as much as I can to provide a classroom environment and to teaching strategies that will promote student learning and engagement. These materials will be used to help me create a classroom environment that is fun, warm, inviting, and organized for students. The posters will be used to not only add life and color into the classroom, but also inspire and motivate student through the words written and images displayed. In addition, it will help with student learning as students learn best when they are in an environment that is stimulating and promotes learning. By having a printer, I can print and post material in color (as my school's printer is only in black and white) onto my bulletin boards that support students' learning through being a learning visual and reference. To organize students' supplies as well as to help ensure that students only use and touch their belongings (because we are now living in a COVID world), containers are needed. Thank you! :)
