I teach ELA and tablets would be a great resource for my students. My students will be able to show their creative talents for writing projects. Many of my students have special needs and a tablet will grant them the capability to perform and succeed along with their peers. Hearing impaired students will benefit from the large display area of the screen and the ability to highlight and touch portions of the text or images visually impaired students can manipulate objects and enlarge the font to compensate for the loss of sight. My students will have more mobility with handheld devices which allows for participation for those that need movement throughout class time. My students that have difficulties writing will have the opportunity to use their finger or the touch screen to complete assignments that would otherwise be thrown to the side and never completed.
