A color printer will enable my students to have visual supports (e.g. 5 point scale, Zones of Regulation, Token Economy, etc.) printed for them as needed. Currently, we only have access to black and white printers in the staff lounge. Visual supports that have color will enable my students to have a very beneficial resource available to them as they maneuver throughout their school day. In addition, it will help support the learning of activities of daily living and calm down strategies used in special education. A little color will make everything in our world that much brighter.
