Kindergartners learn best with they are motivated, active and engaged in their learning. With new social distancing guidelines, fun floor cushions will take the place of our traditional carpet, allowing my kindergarten students to spread out around my room but still be comfy and get out their wiggles! These colorful spots will be a great visual cue for their “assigned” space each day. By donating to my project you are giving my students the benefit of choice, collaboration, and comfort through flexible seating. When students are uncomfortable they are distracted and unproductive. With flexible seating it allows students to find more comforting positions which leads to them being more focused, calm and productive. Since my students will be spread out on the floor they will also need kid-friendly clipboards so they have a sturdy place to write as well as work on activities.
