As a brand new teacher, I'm starting my classroom from scratch. While we are starting the school year virtually, my school plans to return to in-person learning as soon as possible. In both a virtual and in-person setting, I need a variety of diverse age and level appropriate books for my classroom library, technical supplies (i.e. document camera and laminator), learning manipulatives, a gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers (a website for educational resources), and classroom supplies to get my classroom up and running. Whether my students are at home with their families or in the classroom with me, I want to ensure that I'm providing a learning community that is focused on growth, engagement, and kindness. The supplies that I've selected will enhance their learning to ensure my day-to-day runs smoothly. Further, our school does not have a library, which makes creating a classroom library even more important. And, as a new teacher, I'm starting out from scratch. Additionally, the technical supplies, gift card, and other classroom supplies listed in my budget will allow me to seamlessly start teaching virtually while also preparing my physical classroom for in-person learning. For example, I plan to use the laminator to create a variety of resources for both virtual and in-person learning (i.e. DIY dry-erase boards, worksheets, classroom signs, etc.). I will also send a set of learning manipulatives home to each student to be able to use during online learning as well as once we're in-person. It's imperative that each student has their own set to align with COVID-19 safety procedures. I need your support to make this happen for the 25 students in my 3rd-grade class. Even a donation of $10 would truly make a difference. Thank you for your consideration!
