I advocate for TAB, which stands for Teaching for Artistic Behavior. TAB allows for students to be creative. Why choose TAB? When students choose the work, they are self-motivated. Most behavior problems disappear because they are spending their time making something they like. In my classroom, all of the students will be working with a medium that they like after getting introduced to several mediums. One of my students' favorite mediums is clay. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, students will not be able to work with clay like they used to. I would like to give them individual clay set to work with so that they will still have the experience of working with their favorite medium.
